Chapter One: The World of Pokémon

In an empty room that is black, people, in black cloaks, sat silently in unseen chairs. They were surrounded by pillars of different heights and size. Suddenly, the pillars around them started to glow and shadows of Pokémon stood on them. One of the pillars started to glow a soft blue color as one of them spoke.

'Hello Strangers. Let me welcome you to the S.W.A.P, also known as…' a young voice said. 'Hey!' another voice interrupted the first. A pillar next to the first voice started to glow as well, but in a pale reddish color. 'We weren't supposed to tell,' its young voice said.

A third pillar close to the first two began to glow a soft yellow. 'But 'he' already had,' a third voice said, not sounding so different then the first two. 'Ok but we still were not supposed to tell them that,' the second voice said. 'Ok then, Fine. Next time YOU do the interview since YOU seem to know MORE!!!' the first voice yelled as its pillar became a harsh blue.

Then the three started to argue and fight. A fourth pillar started to glow brighter, in a soft Navy Blue color. It was much larger than the first three. 'Please excuse the children. They always fight like this,' it said. By the sound of the voice, is seems much larger than the other three.

Even though there is light coming from the pillars, you still can't see very much, like a fog covering the pillars, making the Pokémon hidden. 'Now let me explain why you are here,' it continued. 'This is the portal that leads to the world of Pokémon. You have been chosen to live there… but there is a price,' it told the people. Some of them felt nervous, others were scared. Most though, where excited and couldn't stay still.

Another pillar started to glow, but more of an angry purple color then a calm one. 'Could you three be any louder? We have children in the audience tonight and WE DON"T HAVE TIME TO ARGUE!!!' it screamed at the first three voices. 'Sorry sir,' the first two said in unison.

The third one spoke after a bit. 'We have children in the audience?' it asks calmly. Then another pillar went soft pink before it spoke. 'Little Brother,' a strong voice said, 'We don't have enough time to search for a Pure Brave heart in that of adults. Children are much easier to accept those who are different than that of an adult or teenager. Do you understand?' it said to the third voice.

Just then, a human spoke to them. "Why do you speak of us like we are not here? Do you know that it is disrespectful to talk about someone when they can hear you?" the human said. The voices went silent. Another human grabbed the first human's hand. The first human spoke again. "I'm sorry. It's very disrespectful to speak without permission or to interrupt someone."

Then another pillar started to glow a soft crystal color. 'That's alright,' it said 'you are quite right about us talking like that and we apologize.' Now all the pillars started to turn into a soft color. None of the people could count how many pillars there are before a bright light came and separated everyone.

The two humans, however, refused to let go of each other's hand. Just then, two Pokémon came up two them. Both human's recognize the two Pokémon instantly. One Pokémon is a Mew, the Pokémon of mystery, and the other one is a Celebi, the Pokémon of time travel.

They were now in an empty white space. Not too bright for their eyes. The two humans realize that they are no longer sitting in unseen chairs, but floating in this empty space. Or are they falling? They didn't know.

After a while, the two Pokémon started to let their auras' glow light blue. The humans started to move down slowly, but they still refuse to let go of each other's hands. The two Pokémon floated in front of them.

'Don't worry. We are only going to asks you some questions,' the Mew said in a child voice. 'But in order to do it right, we are going to asks you individually, okay?' the Celebi explain. It sounded like a female child.

Both of the humans look at each other and then back at the two Pokémon. "Just as long as there are no ghosts," the first human said. The second one just stood there for a minute before letting go of the hand. 'Great! See? This is a good start, isn't it Celebi?' Mew asks. Celebi just stared before speaking, making Mew a little nervous.

'Mew, don't scare them! They are already nervous and we can't make them too scared to go through this,' Celebi told its friend. Mew was just too ashamed to speak but looked at the two humans with an 'I'm sorry' look. The two humans just smiled at them, as if saying that it was alright.

Both Pokémon looks happy and then each of them gently grab a human to begin the individual interview. It took a while for the humans to feel comfortable about being separated in a strange new world with Legendary Pokémon.

The Mew had the human who spoke to them earlier. He decided to show the human the portal before the interview. 'Welcome, stranger. This is the portal that leads to the world of Pokémon. But before I let you through, I have to ask you some questions first, okay?' the Mew said.

The human just nodded, kind of afraid to speak. The Mew notices this. 'It's okay. Most of the questions are physical. Seeing how you'll react to different situations. And you don't have to answer vocally; you can use telepathy to say your answer, okay?' Mew said, smiling. The human calms' down a bit, but is still nervous.

Mew thought about what he said. 'Look, it's not like we are going to throw you off a moving train or anything like that, it's more like a reaction to a situation. Remember, saying you'll do it is one thing, actually doing it is another. Do you understand what I am saying?' Mew asks the human. The human looks at him.

"Is this your first interview you done?" the human asks. Mew looks down for a minute. 'That's not important right now. We have to do the interview if you want to go to the world of Pokémon.' Mew said. "Okay," the human said, unsure of the unknown. 'Then let's begin,' Mew announced.

Just then, the whole scenery changed in to a rundown city. The human heard a scream and saw a woman, across the street, being attacked by strong looking men. Without thinking, the human ran across the street, pick up a metal pipe and attacked one of the guys who were hurting the lady. The men then attack the human but got hit in the gut. Before anything else could happen, the scenery went black again.

'Great! Okay, now on to the next question.' Before the human could say anything, the scenery changed in to a bathroom. As the human looks around, a hand popped out of the toilet. The human jump back but then walk up and shakes the hand. "Would you like to stay for diner? You would have to wash up before you eat, though," the human said. Before the hand could answer, the scene went black again.

'That was great kid! I loved the part when you asked the hand over for diner!' the Mew said excitedly. 'Okay, next question.' The room got darker and solid, not like the empty space the human was used to. Just then, the human began to panic. After looking around the room, the human couldn't find the doorknob.

Fear took over the kid before Mew finally brought the empty space back. "Don't do that again," the human said, fear still visible. 'Sorry, but that was one of the tests. I won't put you in a dark room alone again,' the Mew said.

After calming down a little, the human felt like they could continue the interview. 'Great! Okay, next question.' Then the black room changes into a dungeon of some sort. A further investigation revealed a beautiful treasure chest and the human walks up to it. 'A treasure chest! I wonder what's in it.'

Before the chest was open, a thought came through the human's head. 'Wait! What if it's a trap?! That's how my Dad lost his leg.' The human then step back from the chest: though was very tempting. After a minute, the scene went black again.

'That was interesting. It seemed like you really wanted to open the chest but decided against it. Let's move onto the last question.' Now the human was getting nervous. Mew spoke again. 'Are you a boy or a girl?' the human looks at the Mew. 'It's important to know what gender you are so we can pick a good Pokémon form for you,' he explained. The human then smiled at the Mew before speaking.

"I'm a girl." The Mew looks happy with the answer, and then he puts down all the answers on a piece of paper. 'Okay, great! According to this you are the naive type. It says here that the naive types are extremely simple and trusting. Having their own point of view of the world and 'human' nature. The results are usually youth and inexperience, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?' Mew explains.

The girl giggles a bit at his question. The room went white again and the portal appeared in front of the two. Mew looks at the paper for a bit, and then it disappeared. Just then, the portal open and began to create a whirlwind and nearly sucking the girl in. Mew looks a little down.

'I guess that means that you would have to go now. Don't worry. You'll do fine. As you sleep, your body will change into the Pokémon that is most suited for you, an Eevee, and it won't hurt I promise. But remember, trouble and help comes when you least expect it. Just be careful.'

Then the girl fell through the portal and lost conscious. A Fox-like shadow followed the girl as she fell into the unknown. After the portal closed, Mew looks at his piece of paper that had mysteriously reappeared. His eyes went wide open as he reads the mysterious paper. 'Oops!' he said to himself out loud.
